06 → The Dish on Delivery: 2 audiences, 1 dataset


Using one large, multi-dimensional dataset, I was challenged to create two data visualization projects for two distinctly different audiences. This project was completed as part of my Master’s coursework at MICA.

The first audience is a social media user in NYC who frequently orders delivery, or who may be interested in ordering delivery from FoodHub. This is a social campaign slide that was created around the time Spotify’s annual “Wrapped” campaign was launched for 2024, and capitalizes on the #wrapped hashtag. The audience is able to see the most popular food spots in their neighborhood, and may discover a new favorite restaurant or dish. I utilized R and FoodHub’s brand identity guidelines to create the first graphic.

The second audience is the internal marketing team, stakeholders, or other leadership who could benefit from a dashboard summarizing the metrics and insights found in the dataset. Using minimal visual encodings and easy-to-understand charts, the viewer can quickly gather insights on business performance to make informed decisions going forward.

I used R and Adobe Illustrator for this project.
